## What are Foundation Lessons?

These are optional lessons covering basic topics students need before diving into complex SAT/ACT material.

  • Math: Reviews things like decimal operations or reading graphs.

  • English: Covers parts of speech or finding the main idea.

We know these topics are below grade level, which is why they are optional. However, some classes or individual students might really benefit from this extra review!

## Where Can I Find Them? 📍

Foundation lessons make up "Unit 0" at the very beginning of each subject's lesson list. If you choose not to teach them, simply start with Unit 1.

## Should I Teach Them? 🤔

You know your students best! Use your judgment. These lessons are intentionally short and can even be taught quickly before the main SAT/ACT lesson of the day if needed. They won't eat up much class time but could make a big difference for some students.
