See below for ChalkTalk's Strategies & Tips pacing guide for the math portion of the DSAT.

About

The purpose of this guide is to support teachers and students who want to focus on test taking tips, strategies and structures for the DSAT. This is great for supplementary and bootcamp settings. The content in this guide can be finished in about 4-5 hours of class time. To learn more about Chalktalk's pacing guides and how to use them click here.

What Did We Include?

Our “Strategy & Tips” pacing guides cover DSAT exam overview (scoring, question types, question counts), SAT test-taking strategies (plugging in, using calculator effectively), DSAT content-specific unit summaries, and question structures (identifying the different types of questions that show up on the SAT)

How To Use?

One of the use cases of our DSAT “Strategies & Tips” guide is for districts who are spending most time prepping students for the ACT, but would also like to prepare students for an upcoming DSAT. In that case, supplementing their ACT programming with just these 4-5 hours of DSAT Strategies & Tips would be the most time efficient way to help students achieve their goals.

Key

Tips & Strategies: Use if you want to prioritize student understanding of the structure of the DSAT, tips for taking the exam, strategies for answering multiple choice questions, and overall topic summaries.

Question Structures: Use if you want to prioritize prepping students for specific question types. These strategies are based on researched DSAT question structures and include examples of the types of questions seen on the DSAT exam. All question structure slides are located in the Study Hall tab of the designated lesson.
