Part 3: For Teachers & Admins (Helping Another User)

If a student tells you they clicked "Forgot Password" but the reset email never arrived, you can solve the problem for them in seconds.

Why didn't the student get the email?

  • It's in their Spam/Junk folder: This is the #1 cause. Ask them to check there first.

  • School District Filters: Your school's email firewall might be blocking the automated email.

  • Wrong Email: The student might be checking the wrong inbox.

How to Reset a Student's Password Manually:

  1. Log in to your teacher account.

  2. Go to the Course Management tab (on the left-hand side).

  3. Click on the correct section that your student is enrolled in and find the student in your list.

  4. Click the three dots (⋮) menu on the far right of their name.

  5. You have two options:

    • "Send reset link": This re-sends the password reset email to the student.

    • "Reset password": This lets you set a new password for them right away. You can either set a specific one or click "Reset" to use the default "SATworkshop" password.
