Logging In

Getting started with ChalkTalk is as easy as logging in. We offer three simple ways to access your teaching resources, so let's dive right in. Whether you’re rostered via Clever, ClassLink, or manual login, we've got you covered.

Logging in via Clever

If you are logging in to ChalkTalk via Clever, follow the steps below to successfully log in:

Get to the login page on ChalkTalk by clicking this link https://app.chalktalk.com/login/
Click on the Clever button
Tada! You’re successfully logged in :)

Logging in via ClassLink

If you are logging in to ChalkTalk via ClassLink, follow the steps below to successfully log in:

Click on the ClassLink button

Logging in manually

If you are manually rostered on ChalkTalk, follow the steps below to successfully login:

Adding Students to Your Section

You can add students to your section, or ask them to join your section upon creating an account. Let's take a look on how both ways work!

Joining using Student Section Code
When students are creating an account on ChalkTalk, they will be asked to enter a Section Code, which you will need to provide them to join your section. To find the section code, follow the steps below:
1. From the Dashboard, click on Course Management from the navigation bar on the left hand side
2. Select the period/section that you would like the student to join
3. Find the Student Code on the left hand side of the page, and give it to your students to join your section

Adding/Inviting Students to Your Section
The second way to have students join your section is by adding them to your section from your end. To do so, follow the steps below:

1. From the Dashboard, click on Course Management from the navigation bar on the left hand side
2. Select the period/section that you would like to add your students to
3. Click on the Invite button on the right hand side of the page under Student's List
4. Click on Send Invites from the two options that you have on the top of the panel that pops up for you
5. Adding students to your section can be done in two different ways:
  If you have 2-3 students that you are adding, you may want to just type in all of their information into ChalkTalk directly by clicking on the "+" button to add each student as shown below
  
  If you have many students in your classroom, it would be easier to have the student's information (first name, last name, grade, email address) in an Excel spreadsheet and simply copy and paste them as shown below
6. Once you are done, click on Send Invites to add the students to your section
