What is the Summative Assessment?

At the end of each unit, you'll find a test to check how well students understand what they've learned. These tests cover different types of questions, like multiple-choice, short answer, and more.

Teachers can grade these tests in different ways - either in a standard manner or by having students explain their answers. You can even tweak the tests a bit, but it's a good idea to keep the same question types to keep things consistent.

For longer units, there's a mid-unit test that's similar to the end-of-unit one. The big end-of-unit test covers everything in the unit, with a focus on the second half.

All the test questions come with answers and match up with educational standards. Plus, you'll often find explanations for why students might make certain mistakes.

One thing to note: unlike practice tests, these ones don't tell students exactly how to solve the problems.
