Part 1: Group Activity 🀝

The Group Activity is a great opportunity for you to improve your learning skills by sharing what you know with your classmates.

You'll go through three different phases:

  1. First, you'll answer the questions individually.

  2. Next, you'll team up and go through the activity with your group members.

  3. Finally, you'll have the chance to review the questions, answers, and explanations with your teacher.

Part 2: Adaptive Practice 🧠

This is your most powerful tool for improving your Skill Level. You can do it on your own, anytime!

What is it? Adaptive Practice is an extra practice inside each lesson to help you get better at that one specific topic. The more you practice, the more you'll improve!

How is it "Adaptive"? The practice changes based on your skill level.

  • Each practice session has 5 questions.

  • If you score 80% or higher (4/5 questions), your Skill Level goes up by 1! πŸ“ˆ The next practice will be a little more challenging.

  • If you score lower than 40% (1/5 questions), your Skill Level goes down by 1. πŸ“‰ The next practice will be a little easier to help you build your foundation.

This means you can take the practice as many times as you need to!

How do I find it?

  1. From the Lessons tab, click on your Subject and the Lesson you're working on.

  2. Click the "Adaptive Practice" tab at the top.

  3. Click "View Results / Additional Practice" to start!

What if my teacher assigned it? If your teacher assigns you a practice, it will pop up on your Dashboard as an Assignment as soon as you log in. You can also find it in the Lessons tab with a red mark to guide you.

Part 3: Review Classes πŸ§‘β€πŸ«

Ever wish you could have an extra class just on the topics you struggle with? That's a Review Class!

What is it? A Review Class is a special, personalized class that ChalkTalk creates just for you. After you've covered a few topics, a Review Class will become available. It automatically revisits the topics you need the most help with, giving you extra lessons and practice to make sure you're ready for your exams.

How do I access it?

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. Go to the "Lessons" tab.

  3. Select your Subject (like "Math" or "ELA").

  4. Click on the dropdown menu (it might say "Curriculum").

  5. Choose "Review Classes" from the list.

  6. Click on the review session that's assigned to you and follow the steps!
